One Saturday a few weeks ago, Eric and I were lying on a sleeping bag under some trees here on Campus, reading and talking, and we decided to go camp out that night over at the "mines". It is actually an area that had been strip mined quite awhile ago, but you wouldn't really know it now. It is a beautiful place. It was a beautiful Fall day, kinda nippy. That same night another group from Mt. Carmal High School (a sorta boarding school affiliated with our school) was going to be camping out there too. So we piled all of our stuff into our van and took off. We actually camped aways from the other group and set up camp. One of our friends, Chris, who teaches Sunday School at our church came along to help set up and study with Eric for his Sunday School lesson the following day. While they did that, I was lying on the blanket reading a novel. It was such a relaxing time in a beauitiful place. Later on, Chris went back to the College, and Eric and I walked in the dark and went hung out with the High School group and ate Hobo pies, and played tug-a-war. There was a beautiful full moon out, so that was nice for light. It was also really cold. We didn't get to cold in the night though, cause we had tons of blankets! Our spontaneous camping trip was really fun.
